Video Games.

We all play them. You might be a Candy Crusher. Or maybe you’re a WoW Raider. Whatever it is you play, you play. So do we.

At Bread Radio, we make content and podcasts centered around a shared passion for video games, games culture, competition, and community. Games are often the vehicle for our story, but aren’t always the star of the show. We challenge ourselves to interpret developing stories and their impact on the developers, the businesses, and the players.

Take a listen on your way to work, while cooking, or even while gaming yourself. Bread Radio is available on most podcasting services, and we’re growing every day. Thanks for being here with us.

Stay Toasty.

Sometimes I have something profound to say. Sometimes, at least.

I’m August - Bread Radio’s own emcee and founder of the show. I’ve been podcasting for a little over 5 years at this point, and gaming for as long as I can remember. It started with educational typing games and flourished with an inseparability between myself and my gameboy (and a BIG pack of AA batteries). Today, I’m playing games on computers I’ve built, next-gen hardware like the PS5, and handheld on my Nintendo Switch. If there’s a gaming system out there, I’ve probably tried it, studied it, or bought it myself.

Outside of gaming, I’m an avid sports fan with the unfortunate distinction of loving Arsenal FC and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Soon, I hope to travel the world with my best friend and girlfriend, Haley, while eating the best bagels money can buy. Is that too much to ask?

I can’t say I’m an expert on the game industry or its disciplines - but I am an ego maniac - so I started Bread Radio with the goal of learning more about this passion I hold so close to my being, and the people who make it possible. In the past, I’ve streamed on Twitch, and alongside others, built a pretty steady community if I do say so myself. If you’re part of that crew and you’re reading this - you know it, and I appreciate the hell out of you. Thanks for being here. If you’re new - welcome!

I’m glad you’re here. Be cool to one another.

The names Greg. Greg ‘insert nickname’ Teplitsky.

I’ve been sitting next to August playing video games for almost a decade at this point, as we laugh and bicker like brothers along the way. Ever since getting an N64 as a kid I haven’t been able to put gaming down. These days, I primarily play on PC, but have Sony and vintage consoles as a sidekick for when I want to play from the couch.

When someone has finally convinced me to do something else, I’m spending time with friends and family. The Buffalo Bills occupy too many of my thoughts. Now here’s me, a goofball who’s hobbies are best suited for the pandemic, but ready and waiting for the adventure that lies on the other side of it.

Like August, I’m no expert, but I sure like to talk like one. I like to say what’s on my mind and I’m not always right but I don’t mind being wrong and learning from others. I’ve traveled to conventions to do broadcasting for Hearthstone tournaments - including my running a few of my own. I love to entertain and make other people smile, so I hope to have the opportunity of providing a smile to all of our listeners!
